Scottish and Southern Energy – the Perth-based utility giant – has told MPs that there will be no connections to the UK grid from Scotland’s ‘energy isles’ until 2020 at the earliest.
On the back of this news, we have the solution!
Kingspan Wind has the ability to allow grid connection in areas of grid restriction with our G83 control system. The G83 Connect system has been designed to ensure energy produced by the small scale wind turbine is utilised on site by preventing export, thereby allowing users to connect to the national grid even if there is no capacity. The system has been tested and verified with the assistance of the District Network Operator.
There are now over 200 of the Kingspan KW6 wind turbines installed in the UK with the G83 Connect Control System.
